Review:

I liked it the first book, this one was… ok-ish.

I’m still very disappointed with this story, I mean Mara became even more dependable of Noah, she literally does nothing plot worthy by her own. Noah carries this story on his beautiful broad shoulders.

Instead of being a suspense book, with mystery and tension, this book is irritating.

I sound bitter and don’t want, and I’m trying to find something remarkable to justify why I’m gonna read the next, beside the fact that I have the spin off and I have to review it.

Read this book because of Noah, he’s kinda awesome. And the only reason this book is so famous tbh.

Mara Dyer believes life can’t get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.

It can.

She believes there must be more to the accident she can’t remember that killed her friends and left her strangely unharmed.

There is.

She doesn’t believe that after everything she’s been through, she can fall in love.

She’s wrong.

Review:

This is one of those books I didn’t want to read because I have so high expectations because everyone always raves about The Mara Dyer trilogy.

So I tried with the first book, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. I didn’t get exactly disappointed but my expectations weren’t meet either.

I think first I have to talk about the panty dropping, beautiful as hell, Noah Shaw… and I didn’t get it. So yeah, the guy is hot, rich and intense, but for me was waaay to intense. Can see the appeal, can’t get the love.

I like him, yes, but I was waiting for Mara to… I don’t know, laugh at his face at some point for being too clingy sometimes. It’s just, I picture Noah in the real actual world and red flags stars flying.

NEVERTHELESS, I DO LIKE HIM. Just don’t love him.

I did like the book, it wasn’t as creepy as I was expecting, Noah got too much importance and Mara way too little character and way too dependable of him.

However, I already started the second book; I’m really interested in what will happen next.

This book was published in 2011, so I kinda get why all the clichés. If you didn’t read the book, give it a chance but don’t get your hopes so high.
